Margaret Hartwig

Neily grew up in Rome, Georgia where she attended Darlington School. She moved to Charleston in 1993 (her uncle was a Citadel and USC Law Grad, her Aunt a College of Charleston Grad and her grandparents had previously lived in historic Charleston). She attended the College of Charleston, where she completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in History.  Shortly after graduating, Neily moved to Santa Fe, NM where she started her real estate career in property management.

Neily was a licensed Realtor® in the state of New Mexico. Her love for Charleston prompted her return to The Lowcountry where she joined Dunes Properties in late 1999. Over the next several years, she worked on all of Charleston’s barrier islands in the vacation rental sector for the company while working her way up to Director of Property Management.

The Hartwigs joined Avocet Properties in January of 2010. To date, Neily has almost 18 years of experience in the real estate field with 15 of it in the Charleston area. She knows the homes, the locations, and their proximity to all things of interest to any potential buyer.
Neily is a licensed Realtor in the State of South Carolina. She is partner to her husband, Ulf Hartwig. Neily works for the team through marketing, listings, and showings. The Hartwigs work together to provide a well-established knowledgeable and hard working real estate team.
