January Thoughts and Happenings

Wed, Jan 20th 2016 9:04 am by Margaret Hartwig Folly Beach

Welcome to the January Folly Beach Living Newsletter!

Data from the Charleston Trident Association of Realtors has shown that 2015 saw an increase in sales, drop in new listing inventory, and an increase in sales prices. Thus, 2015 has been declared the best year for real estate sales in the Charleston area since the Great Recession ended in 2009. For December, Folly Beach and Charleston continued to see year- over- year increases in sales. Economists suggest that the lack of supply combined with an increase in demand has driven up prices. Please see the newsletter below for more info.

It's late summer at the beach and the vacationers are starting to dwindle, but the real estate market is busy! And While inventory for homes under $500K continues to be weak, condo sales have strengthened and more high end properties are coming on the market. July 2015 Folly Beach Thoughts and Happenings

Thu, Jan 14th 2016 9:35 am by Margaret Hartwig Folly Beach

Thanks for your continued interest and for taking a few minutes to keep updated on the Charleston/Folly Beach real estate market.

It's been a great first 6 months of the year for the Folly Beach real estate market. I have personally seen the market's improvement over last year's numbers even with our lack of inventory. Check out 'June, In Review' in my newsletter to find out more.

Thu, May 21st 2015 3:30 pm by Margaret Hartwig Folly Beach

Thanks for your continued interest and for taking a few minutes to keep updated on the Charleston/Folly Beach real estate market.

Although the Charleston real estate market continues on it's upward trend, Folly Beach continues to lag behind. In fact, many homes in the Charleston area are recovering some of the value lost during the recession. Sales prices are rising at a reasonable and most importantly sustainable rate.
