As an avid tennis player, Ulf has made his way around the world. Born in Wiesbaden, Germany, Ulf was accepted to Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy in Bradenton, FL at the age of 16. (notable alumni include Andre Agassi, Pete Sampras, and Boris Becker)

Upon graduation from high school, he was recruited to play for The Ohio State Tennis Team. He was selected as an academic Big Ten scholar for all four years he attended. With a degree in business, he began his career in Real Estate in Ohio. He began with Homewood Corporation and opened his own company, Merit Builders after serving as President for a Homewood subsidiary, Mobley Homes. He’s even built his own cabin! Needless to say, when Ulf becomes involved with something, he gives 110%.

Ulf has made Charleston and The Lowcountry his way of life for over a decade. He began his career in real estate sales in Charleston in 2000 where he has been among the top selling agents for Folly Beach each year.

He married Neily Griffin Hartwig in 2004 and together they are raising their sons Max- Dieter, 5, and Werner Neil (Buzz), 3. On his day off, you might find him biking the island, kayaking the tributaries, or showing his boys one of Charleston’s many incredible sights.
